Practicing his Spanish Walk
Donadio has a strong shoulder and hocks that can give you that nice knee action to exstension to that nice rocking chair canter.
Donadio is registered also in the following
registry's as a Foundation Sire:
*Iberian Warmblood Registry of America
#Ib071 *Spanish-Norman
The Americana SportHorse Registry!
Donadio will eventually be a steel grey but with the black in his pedigree he has produced a range of color including blacks, bay, buckskin, grey and even a champagne (having the first champagne in the Andalusian Registry and the first Iberian in the Champagne Registry!)
I have been most impressed with his offspring. They seem to take the best of both parents with Donadio stamping a nice shoulder ,croup and neck on them along with outstanding movement. All his offspring when shown always placed getting great remarks on conformation and movement
Take a Ride in History with Donadio, I have gotten a few pictures of his background. Will add as I get more. But interesting to see the back ground of his pedigree in pictures.
On Donadio's sire (Ascension) side:
*Maestro, the very nice true black stallion bred
by the Parras in San Antonio, Texas and his sire Dejado (black)
bred by Escala, Spain.
*Granada K (black) was bred by Hermanos Jimenez Saintz, Mexico.
*Genil (grey) bred by Miguel Cardenas, Spain, he was the Champion of Spain and Mexico.
On Donadio's dam (Gema TG) is most impressive:
Gema is quite interesting as she has allot Miura blood, which were known as the
bullfighting horses.
*Gema TG (grey) and her sire Tribuno (grey)
was bred by Marcela Grey, Mexico City.
*Carcellera VII (grey) and her sire Capitan XIII (grey) was bred by Antonio Diosdado
Palcicious, Spain
*Ferisnta III (black) was bred by Paco Lazo, Spain, and her sire Poseido V (bay) is a very
famous stallion from the Terry Stud, bought as a foundation horse by Paco Lazo in Spain.
Poseido V (bay) is the sire of the bay stallion that is on the cover of
"Vavra's Most Beautiful Horses" Cordobes XX.
*Nevado III (grey, Poseido V's sire) is also one of the most famous foundation stallions
of the Terry Ranch in Spain. *Bilbanio (grey) a foundation Terry stud in Spain.
*Hosco IV (bay) a very famous Terry stallion.

"Our Story"

Donadio and his human, Rhonda
I purchased Donadio when he was 8 months old, and
has became a treasure to me. His personality, calmness and willingness makes owning this
stallion a wonderful experience. Donadio's back fetlock injury in 2003 kept me from really
getting him under saddle but now he has made a full recovery and had a busy year in 2004
of breeding and so now it's time to get back to work:) He is completely sound thanks
to my vet and farrier! Of course all that time I spent massaging that foot I'm sure had to
help too! ;) ( I am a licensed LMT & ESMT, and certified to do Equine Chiropractic).
Because of his foot injury I don't know that I will show Donadio anymore (Halter/Movement
classes) but his offspring have already proven themselves in Halter and Movement classes,
but I'll just keep having fun doing that!
I would like to thank Terri Meador (Herradura Andalusians) and Cheryl Gibson for giving me
the opportunity and the trust to own this beautiful and wonderful stallion.
Below are some pictures of me just having fun on Donadio, taken October 2005. He has a beautiful way of going and is allot of fun to ride, he has such power and is so strong he is like no other horse I've ever rode. And yes I have no saddle in these pics!! I didn't really plan to ride him but couldn't resist!!
